Chalet de la Tour

The chalet was built in 1900 by Jean Travelletti, a Swiss engineer involved in the construction of railways in South America and Russia. Building his vacation house in the Valais, he gave it a unique appearance with its wooden turret and ornamental details that he may have appreciated during his visits to the East. A Swiss dacha? This image is the leitmotif of our intervention, consisting of «Russian» ceilings, unusual doors and a new narrow staircase punctuated with secret storages. Developing this eclectic narrative also includes the installation of a wallpaper with pineapple motifs in the main staircase. From the North-East to the South-West, we sought to create an enigmatic domestic environment.
