The project proposes a reappropriation of the Pénitencier site, located between the hills of Valère and Tourbillon, creating a dialogue between the history of the place and its natural environment. The once-limiting boundary walls transform into vegetal supports, redefining the relationship between the built environment and the landscape. The pavilion, located on the southern periphery, unfolds under a taut roof, creating a dialogue between the city and the hill. The museum distances itself from the cliff, acting as a backdrop.
